Drawing on their passion and specialized expertise, Chris and Lilly designed the organization to serve a critical function in strengthening family ties and enhancing individual well-being.
Welcome to Family Matters
Our primary mission is multifaceted, focusing on providing equitable access to crucial services for inmates and their families, including access to parenting time, facilitated family supervised visitation, targeted evidence-based educational programs, and robust community support initiatives. In partnership with the Social Justice System and various community partners, we strive to identify and resolve barriers that families, particularly those with incarcerated members, often face, especially systemic challenges.

Family Matters SBC is not just an organization; it's a catalyst for positive change. We firmly believe in the power of resilience, especially for families navigating the complexities of incarceration. Our programs are crafted to empower and equip these families, ensuring they are prepared to face challenges and thrive despite them.
What distinguishes us is our holistic approach and a continuum of care that addresses the multi-dimensional needs of families, particularly focusing on inmates and their families' access to parenting time. This encompasses everything from intervention services for immediate crises to long-term educational and social services support. Our goal is to create a safety net of hope, resilience, and self-sufficiency.

By providing this comprehensive support system, Family Matters SBC represents a beacon of hope and resilience for all families, including those affected by incarceration. We encourage you to join us on this transformative journey to profoundly impact families and, in turn, entire communities.
